I am accountable for all learning experiences in your classroom, including those facilitated by AI, even though the county system oversees. Taking ownership of AI tools' ongoing performance means monitoring their effectiveness.

I have used AI frequently for some of the tasks mentioned, but am interested in the "extended partnership" and how to better manage that.

This lesson points out some specific ways AI can help save time, i.e., vocab lists, customer scenarios, etc.

The lesson presented a good analogy of an apprentice that helped clarify how AI works.

Helpful tips were given for each type of test. There was a good reminder to have another teacher look over the test.

Assessing critical thinking, writing, communication, problem-solving, ethical reasoning, etc. are all important and some are more difficult to assess than others.. The assessment process may include  different criterion, performance indicators, self-evaluation, etc.

Asking questions leads to more critical thinking. A student will be more engaged when challenged to think about why instead of always what.

I used to use learning styles assessments in the past, but I did not make a concentrated effort to utilize the results to inform my teaching style. This reminded me of the value of keeping those styles in mind as a plan. I also appreciated that it was mentioned that students must develop skills to use outside of their preferred method.

It is my job to provide reasonable accommodations for all students who need it. It is not my job to provide individualized instruction for every student because I am not trained for that. Reasonable accommodations are varied and based on the student's needs.

I learned there is a difference between OCD and OCPD. OCD (Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder) involves intrusive, unwanted thoughts (obsessions) and repetitive behaviors (compulsions) done to relieve anxiety, which the person usually finds irrational, while OCPD (Obsessive-Compulsive Personality Disorder) is a personality pattern of perfectionism, rigidity, and control where the person often sees their rigid behaviors as appropriate and correct, leading to interpersonal problems.

Also, it is good to start each day with a clean slate for students with some mental health disorders.
