Diploma Mill

If a school is on the diploma mill list I would do serious research and most likely look at another school.

Qualification

Not every student will be accepted into a program or school so make sure that you do not say all students are accepted.

Federal Loans

Make sure that you don't quote a student how much his loan will be and how much they will make after they graduate.

Student Services

That topic was for intertesting it did touch on some things I was not aware of, it is good to know that the students have those services available to help them along the way.

passing it on

So far one of the most interesting ideas in this job for me is to not have to necessarily MASTER the financial aid aspect of our job. We can know the basics, but it is not our job to communicate the information or tell a student what theey are eligible for. With my previous jobs, It was common to be an expert in all aspects of the company. But here, we know what the other departments do, and how to work with them harmoniously, but it would be wrong of me to try to do their job for them. I like that.

It was good to know what really happens in the marketing business this topic opened my eyes to alot things in business and I understand things alot more

I really learned something from this topic that I could provide my children and family members about finanical aid tuition as well as the students there are so many plans and programs to used for financial aid if someone really wants to attend school Im sure if more people knew the programs there would be more people attending school.

Ohio rules for school

I found this information to be very important and educational for me even though I dont live in Ohio it always to good to know school laws in other states besides I sure this informtion will help along the way on my job and help me provide the information needed to asist students I really enjoyed that topic.

Newbie in Admissions

Hello all! This is my first time being an admissions representative. I never realized the amount of training that is required to represent a school the way the we all do. It gives me peace of mind, however. I have one question. My background is strong in customer service - I have worked for a hair salon (as a manager) for the last 5 years. My question is: In your day to day activities in your job do you use more sales experience or customer service?

Transfer of credits

If a student is concerned with transfer of credits the catalog information should be provided but it is important that the student follow up on obtaining their offical transcripts.
