ALWAYS do what's right by the student....

I'm sure we've all heard about the increased education regulations coming out of Washington D.C. over the past several years, intended to provide more accountability to all institutions' marketing, recruiting, and admisisons practices. Many education professionals have complained about the increased scrutiny, which is apalling to me. If these enhanced laws further protect the student from disception and misleading practices, then they are a good thing. It's a shame it takes a stronger microscope to force some educational professionals to do the right thing. We should always do what is right by the student and nothing will ever be in question. Besides that, the student will benefit because they will be a better fit for the institution, and the institution will gain credibility in the eyes of that student which will lead to referrals and other enrollments. Doing what's right will always come back around to you in a positive way.

Regulatory Information

It is critical to know the key information about your insitution and know how best to share that information with prospective students. The very best we can do is to know our informaiton and at the least, know where or who students need to talk to to learn more about specific informaiton they're requesting.

Institutional knowledge

It is critical to understand the offerings at your institution and how they will help prospective students reach their goals. By knowing what your offerings are and how they can be utilized by students - we are able to share this informaiton with current and prospective students.

Key Information

It is critical in any role to understand the details of your institution so that you can correctly represent the facts to prospective students. The key pieces that are important to each student can be as varying in nature as the students themselves - it is critical to be able to accurately share the facts. Great points on the information to add to our binder!!

Organizing paperwork

Paperwork is so important to have organized while you are going through the enrollment process. Having all the knowledge you need at this moment will make the student feel more at ease when making this important decision in their lives. Also knowing what needs to go to FA and what goes to registrar.
