Mejorar continuamente

The philosophy of this subject

I find that all turns around of doing and practice what we learn in all moments. This is key for all life.

Student Engagement in a distraction rich world

It seems like students have shorter attention spans now, especially with how often they use phones and social media.  How are you keeping them focused during class or online lessons?

Reenactment

I believe in engaging students the topic in which I'm teaching. Pulling out a disease process and having them act it out as a reenactment between someone pretending as the patient and one being the nurse allows the student to practice on how they want to assess the patient, key questions to ask, and it allows them to gain more understanding about the disease process. What are your thoughts?

Creative Classroom Engagement:

Greetings Peers!

Tips for engagement in the virtual classroom:

  • All of my virtual classes begin with icebreakers, which allow students to unwind before the lecture.
  • There are multiple icebreakers implemented into the courses I instruct, such as games involving the parts of speech and homophones like "affect" and "effect." I will offer extra credit to the winners. The friendly competition creates a fun atmosphere.
  • Various writing activities are involved.  For example, journal and free writing. The students are given a disclaimer to share what they do not mind others knowing, and each student reads the journal submission from the chat, which creates community and trust in the classroom.

Tips for courses

Social media

Social media is a good thing for students who are used to doing it, but for students who are uncomfortable or do not have a social media presence, it makes it hard for them to market themselves. I also think that with social media using different platforms that we have are great. It helps the student learn to market themselves, but it also gives them an idea of what possibilities are out there when you do market yourself the correct way on social media.

Social media, blogging networking

I feel as though doing all your social media, your networking, engaging, and all that social media that’s fine, but let’s not lose focus on person person contact, and sometimes that could be a problem within the cell. Some students don’t know how to socialize with person due to the fact of social media, so let’s not let that be our only source of communication that’s my feelings.

Students not falling directive

If I have a student is not falling my directive for my syllabus, my emails are just not responding. I will set up a meeting with the student and try to figure out what is going on with the student itself so we can get to the bottom of it she could be just going through some stuff, so I would actually try to talk to her in person social media

Do you think participation in class engage students?

Engaging students is important for their learning because when they are paying attention and are concentrating in class, they are receiving more information that will remain in their brain. Participation is crucial as well as maintaining a good learning environment using different tools the internet offer.

On line non participants

What do you do when the students do not follow your syllabus, emails, or phone calls?

Discussion

¿How can I find a well disigned game for teaching eductional administration?

I supose I need much more time if I did not find it.  Do yo think so?

Online education

Years ago, I used to think that I needed to be in a classroom and have a professor in front of me to be able to learn. These days I would not change online education for anything. I can take the course at my own pace and study at odd hours from home. Online does require self-discipline and focus, but if you have a goal in mind you can reach it.

Online Learning

I think when students are really engaged they can excel,  with the proper time management skills.
