compliance

It is so important to read all the fine print when it comes to comliance . . missing even the smallest thing can not only hurt the person but the institution!

Course review

This was a great refresher course, it was very informative and good reminders of what we can say or can’t say.

Serving Students with Disabilities

Friday, July 26th, 2013 marked the 23rd anniversary of the signing of the American with Disabilities Act (ADA). The ADA has expanded opportunities for Americans with disabilities by reducing barriers, changing perceptions and increasing full participation in community life. I wanted to review two federal laws that protect students with disabilities from discrimination at the postsecondary level.

The first law is found in Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (implemented in 1977). As it applies to higher education, the critical portion of Section 504 essentially says that if you are a school that receives any kind of federal… >>>

Compliance Issues

Dangerous Waters

Working for a Private, For-Profit, Career School in Ohio, we are pretty carefully schooled in what we can say, what we can't say, and what we MUST say.  Still, through this course I've discovered that there are a number of areas of confusion out there: areas where we are doing certain things in the name of "compliance" that we don't fully understand, giving perhaps too little emphasis to some things, and too much emphasis to others.  Anyone else encountering the same?

Renewal Course

I really enjoyed how the learning modules were formatted. It helped me understand the information, while keeping the information organized in my mind. I think this course serves as a great reminder and helps each admissions advisor make sure they are complying with the rules and regulations.

Max Knowledge Course

I feel that this course for on-line was very informatative. My last school had a four week class training course. I enjoyed this training section and learned alot. This section allowed individuals to read at his oe her own pace and dislove the information. This was very helpful. Enjoyment for this training  was a 10 plus.

This course

This course was interesting and very informative....

Final quiz

I was surprised to see that the final quiz was all different as far as the previous quizes.

Taking it all in

This training was very different from what I am use to , my previous job was more little test here and there with small group trainings that didnt allow you to tak it all in . I feel this was very detailed and really helped with a better understanding of the rules , laws and whats expected from agents . I feel more confident in what I am doing as a agent and what I can do to better service the prospective student

Compliance

This course was a great opportunity to remind of the rules of being compliant in a post-secondary setting.

CM105

This was a great compliance refesher. The importance of establishing trust through disclosure can never be underestimated.

Compliance Training

I thought this was a great refresher course for compliance training.  There have been so many changes that it's very helpful to get upadated training

Great Review

This course was definitely a great review for me. It helped me to keep on track to always keep doing what's right and to stay compliant.

Course Review

The course was a great review and reminder of why we must always do & say what we do the right way.

This was a good course to take online

I was challenged and learned a few things that I did not know.  I was scared to take the final quiz due to the one time chance thingy.

Easy Peasy

very simple course, was informative and perfect for what it needs to do.

Interruptions

I have to say that it is very difficult having to take the test and answer phones, help students, greet guest, and do enrollments. The test needs all of your attention and concentration to make sure you don’t miss anything. However the test covered a lot of things I did not know but I’m happy I know now.

Compliance Course

Was pretty good, but definately more I would like to learn

Compliance is an Adverb

Compliance training is always great, because it forces you to humanize every part of our positions, think outside of ourselves and consider the vairied consequences of our actions on the school, other departments and our students.  I would prefer to interact with other departments and colleagues in person for the same reason I think that compliance training is important.  A forum topic disussed in the training was whether or not compliance is an action or a result I believe that it is both the action and the description of that action, and that it can best be learned through interaction with one another.
