Admissions Specialist Experience

As an admissions specialist at a nursing college, I speak to prospective students daily. In my experience I have learned that giving the most precise and honest answers to their many questions limits any miscommunication.

Integrity

I think it is important to remember how much we affect a person's life.  I believe we should always be honest and ethical when working with prospective students

Properly Executing Admissions Role

The responsibility of an admissions team member properly exeuting their role is so vital to the credibility and compliance of state regulations of the school. Admissions is the face and first contact of the school. It's important to give out honest and accurate information at all times. Be honest and approachable and there is no need to be a "salesperson." The institution will sell itself. Facts and fairness are definitely what is most important, along with kindness.

Fair Admissions Practices

It is essentail to be as honest as possible when talking to possible students.  Honestly is always the best policy, potential students appriciate clarity.

Understanding regulation

It is in the best interest of the students and the institution if employees understand the regulations and are able to deliver a clear understanding of what the rules are. This helps prevent misunderstanding between the student and the school, helps in delivering a better educational experience and allows for the school to be viewed at a higher standard.

Read all questions carefully

Make sure you are reading all question completely

Refresher

As a semi seasoned Admissions Rep, I found this training a great refresher! Especially as we are currently in the process of accedation as our Institute!

Best Course ever

This Course help me understand and be up to date with the admission’s requirements.

Review Feedback

The information given to read before the quiz is very resourceful especially the links given to print out to keep for my files. I like the fact that I can see their test results immediately after submitting my answers. That way if I got the answer wrong it not only show me the right answer but it also give the explanation.

I would recommend for anyone to read the information throughly taking your time and not rushing. Even through they give you a few chances to retake the quiz it looks better on the institution your working for if you… >>>

Admissions Compliance

Being completely new, or green as I like to call myself, to the education admissions world I found the information contained in the course very informative and helpful in understanding the why, what, when, where and how.  Instilling the fundamentals such as the rules and regulations within admission team members is viable to sustainability and success of education institutions and can appreciate the mandatory requirement set forth by the state the course not only be completed but satisfactorily completed.  I has pointed out, by the questions I answered incorrectly, where my comprehension and/or understanding in specific areas were lacking and am… >>>

Prepare to do good!!!!

Today is my second day as an Admissions Representative at IIT Tech. I started the training in the morning and completed it late afternoon. There is a lot of information that i was not aware went into the process of enrolling students into educational courses. The training was effective in detailing the regulations and necessary steps we need to keep in mind when talking to the applicants. This ensures that the process is transparent and beneficial to our students who will be investing their time, effort and money into our programs. As admissions reps we must master this information so… >>>

Student Focused

As an Admissions Professional, I have noticed that if you truly care and listen to student needs, the students will be responsive and only helps in establishing a better relationship with the school and the active student population.
