This section mentions the general information of the student services, educational programs and any organizational procedures. The section is plain and simple. Most institution have similar ways of going through it all, even with the advertisements.
I learned that a really good way to learn about all the programs is to read the catalog, talk with personnel in the education department, sit in on classes, and talk to the placement department to learn where grads work.

This segment in the training has brought light to what the student body needs access to including but not limited to library access- we have one centrally located and an online broad database for students to use. Graduaiton ceremonys can be big or small and can be adjusted to what each institution needs. Exit interviews are great source to ensure that you are helping with job placement and help the student plan for the future. These statistics of whom gets job placement helps boost numbers for promoting your establishment.

I learned that schools have multiple methods of advertising to students.
I have learned the importance of understanding and being knowledgable with the courses offered at my institution. This can be accomplished through speaking to those professors,sitting in on their classes, visiting past students,etc. I realize how helpful this is when dealing with potential students.

In order to best understand your institution and its offerings it is important to not only read about what is offered but to engage with other offices and services on campus to have a whole understanding of the institution and what it provides.
Through this module I have learned the different marketing stratagies, and how it is important to collaborate with all the departemts in the institution to have full knowledge of what is offered at the institution and always be up to date. Also having knowledge on student placement programs and the opportunites offered.
