Being optimistic is a form of positive mindset that will help my students through challenging situations
The ending video from Ewelina was quite nice, be the expert, and be alright with not knowing everything; the more we know, the more we realize there is to learn!
Having a positive mindset while not giving up on hope increases success rate.
I will apply the positivity with myself, with my students and with my coworkers
Being aware of your mindset is important in all aspects of your life. Choosing to be positive is very important.
being encouranging to students and bringing a positive mindset to the classroom will help them realize that yes they do not know how to do a lot but they dont know how to do it YET. By encouraging them it will be beneficial for them in the long run
Being mindfulness and practicing positive intervention strategies are key to be a successful and positive instructor.
This module has taught me that interest, practice, purpose, and hope are essential ingredients for developing grit. I now understand that academic success is not solely about intellect or talent—it also depends on the cultivation of perseverance, self-control, hope, love, and gratitude in both instructors and students.
With this in mind, I plan to bring the Growth Mindset exercise into my classroom to help students reframe challenges as opportunities for growth. I will also utilize and adapt validated positive psychology interventions to create more individualized and purposeful learning experiences. These strategies will allow me to meet students where they are, support their emotional and academic development, and help them build the resilience needed to thrive.
By embedding these practices into my teaching, I hope to foster a classroom culture that values effort, embraces challenges, and nurtures both the heart and the mind.
I appreciate the tip on having the students take a few minutes before a test to center themselves
I can appreciate the ripple effect of giving affirmations to students as they do well and progress, the feedback lets the know they are doing it corrctly. I love the smile and light in their eyes as they work and see me smile and compliment them.
MINDSET! MINDSET! MINDSET!
I've enjoyed learning about Positive Psychology. Helping students in a tangible way see through the lens of positivity and use failure as a learning tool will not only produce successful students, but also well balanced individuals who can uplift others by positivity.
Choose hope and value what is positive.
I like the information and insight into hope.
I've learned about the importance of providing and promoting a positive educational environment. I need to digest the resources and information and develop strategies to implement this in my classes.
Positivity can be used in and outside of the classroom. It is a practice.
I use all the positivity traits outside of the classroom too!
Being positive is important for students, and I also think in the classroom it can be contagious. I can tell how if I am in a grumpy or negative mood how quickly it rubs off on those around me and the opposite is true for when I am overly positive and grateful. This can sometimes be a challenging task but it is important for ourselves and our students.
A good positive mindset will place you in a correct position to be a positive educator or leaner. Attitude and confidence also play a key role in both.
