Post what you've learned about this topic and how you intend to apply it. Feel free to post questions and comments too.

No need to re-invent the wheel, I can use tools that are readily available as long as I consider the specific needs of my course/students.

To support Online students, provide clear communication. Understand the students and their strengths and weaknesses.

I have learned that it is important to test the students and create surveys to see if they are understanding and reading the material.

Starting the class with a learning inventory will help set expectations and help everyone start their journey on the right foot.

Learning style inventories are not enough. Being aware of style is not enough. We must put the information into practice. I must instruct using various styles, and students must use strategies to engage their styles.

I have learned for instructing online courses, students need to be reminded the importance of time management.

I have learned that online learning is different than in person learning, and I need to teach how to management their time with online learning.

Posting video announcements can be more engaging for students.

Just because students come from a digital generation doesn't mean they know how to accomplish things in an online course.

I have learned that it is important to do a self analysis inventory. It is also important to have self motivation and good time management skills and remember whether you are face to face or online your special need students are important.

In this module I learned that more time is dedicated to an online learning environment than a face to face. Time management is crucial for distance learning. Many think that online learning is "when there is time" when in fact, one had to "make time and use it wisely".

Providing students with as many types of learning as possible may be time consuming at the start, but will benefit the students in the long run.

I have learned you should bring awareness to students about the different types of learning by having them fill out a survey prior to beginning the course.

I've made a note to emphasize that an online course may be more convenient but not necessarily less time-consuming. As instructors, we need to set expectations and assure them we can assist with strategies for success.

i have learned some ideas about how to help online students with time management skills.

I have learned that it is very important to still have the quiet students engage and that we should not make the assumption that this type of learning will be easier for them.

Being able to motivate students learning online requires instructors to possess skills and tools to retain students and keep them engaged.

Evaluate your own skills when it comes to technology and develop teaching strategies to help students to be successful in the online learning environment.

There are things to get the student prepared for online learning
