Knowing better how to both acknowledge and address students fears, concerns, questions

Being so mindful of technology on how I communicate and when I communicate.

It's so helpful to consider the online learner and their strengths/challenges in order to better teach and support them!

For myself, I want to know how to balance the student/instructor relationship with the professional/future professional relationship between myself and my students. Communication and points of contact are huge to help meet needs that are present! You have to know about the need to be able to meet it so to be able to create a relationship of trust will help to open up the communication piece.

I really like the idea of having the students work on collaborative and small group projects and then share that with the larger group. See, say, do is a way that I myself learn and so I like the idea of problem-based learning styles shared here.

I learned that a great assessment tool is a rubrics and how to put them into practice!

I agree with the previous comment on my screen, I don't think I considered and so for sure my students or others consider the amount of time required to plan a successful active learning online class.

Figuring out the balance of the spending the right amount of time ahead of class planning and the reward for the students have an active learning role I see as something that will be beneifical and challenging both!

For me the takeaway in this section is the more you help your students know the importance of and apply good time management skills, the more successful they will be!

I hadn't considered the social networking as a source, but I think that's a great suggestion
