To facilitate all students learning it is important to understand that student learning preferences are important for  them to engage in creating different learning and engaging  in educational experiences.  During my  lectures I usually give a short introduction of the subject and use videos, and divide students in groups for  discussions and give them quizzes to work on together. Then they present and we discuss the subjects and answer questions.  It encourages more student engagement and they learning from each  other.

I also learned about asynchronous and synchronous discussions. Asynchronous discussions encourages more student’s participation and for them to reflect and use critical thinking. Synchronous discussions have disadvantages such as scheduling, how fast a student can read or type. It can be successful if used with individual texting or video conferencing.
