This is a general discussion forum for the following learning topic:

Compliant Interactions: Acting with Integrity --> Other Important Regulations

Post what you've learned about this topic and how you intend to apply it. Feel free to post questions and comments too.

It is very important to follow all regulations that apply to school enrollments and Finical Aid.  This helps us

all to keep the integrity of the school.  Following the guidelines of the Do Not Call list protects students.

This section reminded me how important it is to respect a person’s choice when it comes to communication. If a prospective student asks not to be called or contacted, we need to honor that request. Ignoring these requests can lead to serious compliance issues, legal consequences, and can negatively affect the reputation of the school.

I also learned the importance of being careful with emails, phone calls, and any incentives or communications we provide. Following the CAN-SPAM Act and Do-Not-Call regulations helps us maintain professionalism, respect, and trust with our students and prospective students.

I learned a lot about DNC and the rights of student.

Following important regulations is vital to maintaining integrity and ensuring the safety of students. I learned a lot about testimonials and how they need to be in writing and on file. The part that mentions the no call list was very informative as well.

In reading this section, if a prospect expresses that they do not want to be called! Please adhere to this request. This can be very costly in the court of law regarding DO NOT CALL including emails. This is disrespectful and sends out a bad reputation for any school. Be cautious!

This section was probably the most interesting. We do check Do Not Call Lists but to see the extra rules on how long after a lead submits to contact within the time period just shows the nuances that exist. The review of FTC regulations is a priority for my area. There were additional FTC/FCC rules added in 2024, which also impacted this area.

Knowing this information is critical as many of these regulations impact the calls and emails we send out daily.

In terms of remuneration, results must stem from a dedication to your school's mission and values as well as strong process disciplines.

Do Not Call List...

The item that I learned from this section was regarding the DNC list.  I was not aware that there is a 3-month window to open calls up if the person requests info or requests a call after being placed on a DNC list.

Do not Call information was very informative as well as mass e-mails.

Provisions are made for consumers to protect their rights to not be called or spammed by businesses and institutions.

The Cam-Spam Act regulations.

I learned a lot about how you shouldn't discuss competing schools and their progams with students. When talking about previous students and their experiences at Galen we shouldn't use students names. Testimonals must be in writing and on file before it's appropritate to discuss with prospects.
