I really liked seeing all the defintions for the terminolgy that we use. I knew most of them, but it was nice to see the actual definitions explained indepth.

I learned a lot about how you shouldn't discuss competing schools and their progams with students. When talking about previous students and their experiences at Galen we shouldn't use students names. Testimonals must be in writing and on file before it's appropritate to discuss with prospects.

All interactions with students need to remain professional and transparent. Especially if you're networking on Facebook. It's important to make sure you're not giving misinformation nor discussing other institutions with students.

When giving information to the students, all information should be the same. Failure to communicate disclosers can cause the place of employment to be at risk and the school can lose their financial aid status. Post graduate employment status needs to be verfied by the auditors/accreditors. Schools can also not adverstise under, "help wanted" or "job opportunity" postings.

It's important to make sure we're telling the students the correct information while following the guidelines. It's also important to have a good attitude and be professional and kind in person, over the phone, and in emails.
