Easy to understand content!
I learned that understanding the human factor means communicating with empathy, patience, and professionalism, and I'll apply it by being more mindful and respectful in all student interactions.
Overall, after reading and going through this module, I think that it's important to remember ethics must be flexible not to their basic principles but to situations.
I learned that when a student that is expecting a baby, the student can mark "yes" to having child or dependent- making the student an independent student. At a previous school, I had been taught that we could not include the unborn child. You learn something every day!
It is very important to give the facts and only the facts, we can try to do so nicely.
I believe that maintaining a relationship with our students grounded in honesty and transparency is essential to the integrity of our schools. Misrepresenting our institution or enticing students under false pretenses solely for financial gain is both unethical and short-sighted. Education shapes the future of our community and society—it is not just about a fleeting moment or personal gratification. I recognize why so many organizations are dedicated to upholding the checks and balances within the higher education system. As an advocate for my students, it is crucial for me to remain professional and knowledgeable about the appropriate channels and resources to guide them, especially when their needs go beyond what I can directly provide.
In listening to the information shared, it is so important to understand the ethical components with regards to CIE in Florida. We've known it, but now we know it for sure. This information would be welcomed to educators and administrators at a team-building experience, lunch and learn, and at an annual town hall meeting at your institution. Great information to share consistently!
La ética como para cualquier institución es importante, ya que se obtiene más credibilidad desde la perspectiva de la transparencia con la información brindada
This section on ethics and regulations was interesting. The need for separation of responsibilities reminded me of the best practices followed by those in accounting roles. We also separate responsibilities to protect company money.
I appreciate the emphasis on the importance of checks and balances throughout an institution of higher learning and any business.
Great section with great reminders. It is important to always demonstrate honesty, integrity along with a good moral compass while working with students.
Must renew agent permits annually
Ethical conduct is imperative in this industry.
I very much like the 12 common ethical conduct statements expected for the postsecondary education industry.

I agree with some of my peers. Since each state has its own set of policies that must be followed having a knowledgeable person in charge is essential to prevent any policy violations. Also, it is logical that some responsibilities would be divided.
List of behaviors under ethical conduct basically sums up what needs to happen at an institution on a daily basis.
It is critical to have a system in place of checks-and-balances, whereby there is separation of duties and departments, i.e., Admissions does not do testing, Financial Aid does not do Admissions and vice-versa. This is also operating with integrity and quality control.
Checks and balances as well as ethical decision making are extremely important to the operation of any institution
Very informative section, establishing proper checks and balances helps to eliminate misconduct. It is important to state the facts when speaking with students.
