Developing VR Lessons --> Getting VR Lessons Set Up

Post what you've learned about this topic and how you intend to apply it. Feel free to post questions and comments too.

I learned how visual cues for tracking and determining user location are important for creating the immersive experience. I can see how individual finger tracking would be useful for training precise movements in the healthcare setting.

This module deepened my understanding of VR hardware, navigation, and object interaction, highlighting how rapidly evolving technology demands adaptability from faculty and students. It also raised awareness of the increasing costs for schools, especially amid widespread budget cuts and financial constraints in higher education.

I plan on using VR for flying drones and possibly the Farm Simulator game to give students structured assignments.

This is something i have already experienced while trying to implement VR in the classroom

I don't feel I can apply it at this time in our curriculum however I feel it is important to grasp the concepts as they begin to become more and more common in industry use.

Grasping virtual objects in a vocational automotive setting can be difficult.

Comment on pete mata's post: I was surprised to learn that aspect of VR scenarios

The grasping of objects would be interesting as an effective tool in developing skills in the medical field.

I have a tendency of getting motion sickness when I try to use VR.

I have learned that we can go beyond visual interaction in VR and interact with virtual objects.

I didn't know some users can get nauseous while using the VR headset. How do we adjust to the learner if the lesson involves VR?
