I have worked with several co-workers that were very limited in their understanding of technology, and their fears kept them from utilyzing many programs that would have been beneficial to them. As teachers it is helpful to the students to allow them to practice using technology since it is very useful in everything we do, and it will allow them to be more productive.
A combination of hard skills, soft skills and IT or technology application skills will provide for a well rounded result. It isn't enough now or moving forward to be one dimensional. For example, for a welder to be rigid in their craft in such a manner as only focusing on welding without having favorable personality traits that compliment their craft might cause customers to seek welding services elsewhere. In contrast, a person with sales and marketing expertise that gives little consideration to the technical and vocational value of the welder might not be able to make the sale. The same goes for IT specialists that find it difficult to talk to the former. What is critical here is that there is win-win solution - all three collaborate and recognize the value each brings to the end result.

Technology and gaming helps with student interest and engagement.
Producing well rounded students makes them more desirable in the workforce. Being able to work with groups and technology correctly are great skills.
This application taught me that teamwork is important to the success of a business and once I understand technology to introduce to the students, they will then understand how to apply it to their business,
information technology is a crucial aspect of the present and future workforce. Although teaching these skills in my classroom does not align with my curriculum or topic of welding.
Technology can prepare students for what to expect in the actual workplace
We need to be using a ton of effective technology education since IT is such a growing and important field.
I learned about gamification and how this allows students to be creative and at the forefront of their own learning. Students love games and this is a great way for them to learn through the use of technology. Something that I can do to apply this in my own classroom is allowing students to use their creativity as this could lead to a technology career pathway for them.
Technology should hat be utilized just for the sake of it but rather used in a relevant manner.
Professor must be updated about technology to transmit our experiences though the technology to our students, the best way the will understand complex topics.

i am already using technology.in my classroom. using ICEV, ALLDATA, SHOPKEY, IDENTIFIX and GOOGLE CLASS ROOM, I engage with my class their assignments and repair information.
Cell Phone and technology has its advantages but in a culinary class it is very hard to keep a student focus and away from the cell phone.
