Creating a dynamic syllabus is a great introduction to the course.
Detailed instruction is key to the success of learning on-line. I will implement the scaffolding technique to insure that my students will have the structure to focus for student actiivities and to build upon their prior knowlege and experiences.
I have to be more aware of having discussions and communication. I need to work on that and to offer different types because again everyone is different and will be more comfortable with a specific way of communication. having a variety will hopefully reach all students.
I agree with having a good clear direction in the syllabus to help the students get inspired by the course goals and what they can achive.
I think "scaffolding" can be very helpful to other students who haven't that much experience with topic. Each student's prior experience on topic helps other learn more.
I have learned the importance of creating a successful Online Learning Community through the use of online tools that develop group and individual communication and online knowledge sharing.
I'm truly surprised that this course encourages the use of pseudonyms for students posting in discussion groups. I think this is bowing a little too far toward current online user behavior and much too far away from what should be expected of college students.
Instructional delivery success requires use of a dynamic syllabus, developing an online learning community, multiple dimensions of effective communication building scaffolds for student learning.
Sustaining an online learning community is also essential to ensure learning. Creating a sustainable online learning community involves developing forums in which students feel comfortable sharing ideas, opinions, and facts with others in synchronous or asynchronous environments.
Is it important to learn more about Dynamic Syllabus and Scaffolding. Communication utilitizing technology facilitate online course learning.
I learned from this module that a dynamic syllabus is key, and I like the way the course describes the 8 scaffolding tools to develop students’ sense of belonging and to foster a safe learning community for all learners. I have always used these techniques in face-to-face classes, but now I see how I can extend these modes of communication and learning to an online platform

I plan to use the online learning community and a more active syllabus to increase student interest.
Student centered learning and collaboration is essential.
I learned that a course syllabus should be dynamic so students have something to go to access information. It must be designed in a way for students to access it electronically. Also, making sure I participate in discussions is key, because if I’m not involved it can lead to less participation from students.
I like that it was mentioned to make sure that you have hyoerlinks on your syllabus. It makes for communication and location of resources to be found easier.
I learned that an accurate yet adjustable syllabus is very important.
I hadn't really thought about creating a dynamic syllabus before. I thougt adding the disclaimer provided would be helpful, and I'm thinking I'll need to be clear with my students that the syllabus changes I'll make as we go won't be to add more work or change the core of the work but might be to offer additional avenues for project completion and/or resources to assist.
How to develop a syllabus and how to make sure information is scaffolded to reflect on prior knowledge and experiences.
Scaffolding is vital for all students because they build on their prior knowledge, experiences, and resources. This enables students to constructively build on their knowledge while synthesizing their metacognition.
Scaffolding is important in order to meet the student where they are and help them accomplish the course agenda. You may need to remediate for some students in order for them help them understand the course. Some students may need to be challanged more. Without the scaffolding the student can become discouraged and quit or bored and quit. The instructor needs to monitor each student to make sure they are understanding the course assignments.
