I should not wait to see the demographics of my students, I should know that they will be diverse no matter what.

This course has taught me that although Veterans share similar experiences, they process them in different ways. There are plenty of opportunities in the classroom to showcase a variety of teaching mechanisms that will allow the individual students to relate to the context. 

I have taken away the realization of the differing types of diversity that needs to be considered when teaching students and how the lesson plans need to address this.

Be flexible in instructional strategies to include vets in the learning process more.

Comment on Gregory Jorgenson's post: Spot On. We as instructors must be willing to be flexible and be willing to accommodate the various students that come to us to learn new skills and create a new career away from the military.
