I have a wide range of ages and life experiences in my classrooms. I learned that using a combination of teaching styles can be beneficial.

Understanding each student's personality actually aides in managing student behavior.  The understanding promotes patience and builds trust with the students.  When students feel trusted, they will naturally behave better.

Frequent brain breaks, even for HS students are essential to stay focused and on task.

I think that icebreakers are very helpful in creating a learning environment and developing teamwork among the students. It may also help students by relaxing their anxiety. I think I will make it part of my regular practice.

This taught me that successful classroom management is more than rules and procedures; it's about building relationships, setting clear expectations, and creating an environment where students feel accepted and not judged. Once students can open up to you, it creates more motivation in the classroom when completing assignments and group projects. Assigning hands-on projects has assisted me in guiding the students to collaborate, work in teams, and problem-solve.

Providing clear instructions, setting realistic expectations, and not assuming that every student learns at the same pace.

This module reiterated the importance of setting clear classroom expectations and encouraging positive behavior consistently. This can be addressed in the classroom by remaining calm when addressing students' behaviors, creating a respectful classroom environment, and having students take responsibility for their actions.

This module really emphasizes staying calm, cool, and collected. This applies to me as I stay positive and calm during difficult times in the classroom. I can re-emphasize my classroom rules and expectations more clearly.

I learned that by creating a welcoming classroom environment, we are setting the stage for class. I plan to set clear expectations, build positive relationships with my students, and create engaging lessons that encourage student success.

I saved all of the ideas and responses to use properly when or if needed to make sure I address any adult learner behavior issues the best way possible!
