Appropriate language use is important in the classroom and is essential to professionalism. Although we're working with adults, there really is no reason for profanity in the classroom. It isn't appropriate in the workplace later on for students either, so I will for sure ensure positive language use in my classroom.

active learning helps them explore and understand the lesson with a better understanding.

When students feel you actually care about them as people, and establish that connection with them, you have a much better chance of actually getting good results.

I have learned to adapt multiple different learning styles and to incorporate them into daily teaching to make sure every student is engaged and learning.

Setting a good first impression and having the class get to know each other will allow for better learning and allow the students to feel more comfortable in a new environment.

We can incorporate our own personal practices and experiences into our instruction. For me, running taught me discipline habit at a young age. It also demonstrated to me that tremendous progress is possible with a small daily habit. This lesson supported the importance that sharing these kinds of experiences can have on education.

I learned to always be one step ahead and know what you are going to be teaching beforehand. Always have tools on you like a notepad so you never forget anything. Be informed and ready for any questions on the topic or course you are teaching.

We can incorporate out intuition into how we guide and assist students throughout a course. This in tandem with more traditional teaching approaches might be more effective than one or the other alone.

Care for a topic can be infectious. Sometimes students need to know that it is ok to feel a deep love for a topic. Demonstrating our own passion brings joy and helps create a stronger learning environment

I learned how to be yourself in the classroom while maintaining a professional image and how to go about showing your professional image, knowing when to step it up and how to be there and get students engaged.
