Only lecturing is a missed opportunity for students to access learning in a variety of ways. It's better for students to learn in a variety of ways including hands on, group activities or discussions, etc. It's also helpful to have self discovery built in the lesson to help motivate students.

Give time for your students to get to know each other too! :)

Get to class 15 minutes early! Prep! Talk to your students! Learn to pronounce their names correctly! :) Be ready to go when it's time to start!

Appropriate language use is important in the classroom and is essential to professionalism. Although we're working with adults, there really is no reason for profanity in the classroom. It isn't appropriate in the workplace later on for students either, so I will for sure ensure positive language use in my classroom.

As an instructor, you must present a professional image of competence.

Deter cheaters but limiting opportunities for cheating.

Those that struggle with paying attention may not know the relevancy of the course material.

Create teamwork activities in the course!
