Rolling Admissions vs. Application Deadlines

I have worked in Universities with both a set application deadline and with rolling admissions, so no set deadline. There are obviously advantages and disadvantages to both. I was wondering if others had any input on best practices for both options? I have found that Rolling Admissions can be a little more chaotic throughout the year, while having a set application deadline means that things are busy during a window of time, but makes the rest of the year easier due to the ebb and flow.

Life Experience used as Credit

I have worked at an institution where the responsibility of administering credit for life experience was that of the admissions counselor because it was looked at as transfer credit. Now that was more than 10 years ago when the concept was fairly new, has their be a standard measure in which to apply life experience?

Financial Aid Staff

Does the State of Florida require that Financial Aid Staff is on site or can they be located at a different campus?

If a student has been enrolled and sitting in class, and the enrollment agreement changes to reflect a new regulation, is the student required to sign a new agreement?

Changing Compliance Issues...

With the new regulations and compliance issues affecting schools on a regular basis lately, how would this affect students who are currently enrolled who do not meet the new standards or compliance issues. are they "Grandfathered" in?

Placement Exam

Our institution does not require an admissions test to all students, but does require that students take a Mathematics Placement Exam to ensure that they are on the correct level and do not need remedial math to bring them up to par. Would this be considered an admissions exam which must completed as part of the admissions process?

Eco-friendly

Living in an electronic/digital world, paper is becoming obsolete. Is taking applications and creating new student files electronically okay to do?

After graduation and a career

Once a student graduates it is his/her responsibility to actively seek a career. Do you think some students believe it is solely up to the career services department to help with resumes and job placement? If so, does this reflect badly on the institution if a job is not found?

Enrollment Agreement

What happens if a student doesn't adhere to the agreement? By this I mean, a student fails to show up to class or fails classes in general. If the enrollment agreement is a legal binding document what is the consequence?

Students meeting deadlines for admission requirements

I have trouble with students meeting the admission requirements deadline? Anyone else?
