Is it ever possible for someone to always know all of the new rules and regualtions? I know you are supposed to check on them all the time, I just fell that with the speed they seem to change at, someone might hardly eer be 100% up to date. Any suggestions?

Admissions Requirements

In the cases of a small private Institution where the enrollment rate is not as high as public Institutions, rather than turn students away for not meeting the admission requirement of having a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent, would you recommend a small private Institution to establish as a basic adult education program or refer students to a another school where they will be able to take a course to obtain their high school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Are there any other alternatives?

Admissions Paperwork and Processes

I think that is very important as an Admissions Representative that we relay the right information to our students. It is imperative that we make sure that all processes to enroll a student are accurate and have been done before a student leaves our office. Checking to make sure that we have all paperwork done correctly helps us with compliance as well and we don't have to spend time trying to fix what should have been done in the beginning.

I would like to know how others are staying up to date. I am on routine conference calls with HQ, stay tuned to what is occuring in the community, read the newspaper, journals, school catalog (updates), etc.

I am pleased with the training program the institution implemented. Their is an interactive process in which signatures are required of the staff members. To secure the signature you have to ask questions about their departmart and job responsibilities. It was easier for me to transition into the DOR position, because I worked as an adjunct instructor.

I am working with the team of representatives and experience outages on our S3 system. Some our our new reps are not sure how to handle. I have asked the marketing secretary to put hard copies of the forms in each room as a back up. I then have to remind the reps to put the information in the system later.

Enrollment Packet and Enrollment Agreement

It is very important to complete all paperwork including the enrollment agreement in order to be in compliance. We must make sure that all signatures are in place as well as the student information to avoid having to chase after students, which makes the institution look disorganized.

Catalog Knowledge

It is important to know and understand most of, if not all the aspects of the school catalog. In there we can find the answers to many of our prospective students questions and concerns regarding school. It explains the different programs, courses, requirements, student information, calendar and tuition to name a few. By knowing our catalog, we know our school and that makes the institution look professional and the staff demonstrates the level of education offered at the campus.

Admission Test

We have done away with the Wonderlick test for students. The only students required to take the test are Veterans or students in which English is their second langauage. Students are reappl;ying that did not intially pass the wonderlick test and are being accepted. Does a GED or HS DSiploma serve as the tool that says the student is capable of progressing through school
