I like to be prepared before going into class everyday, I feel lost if I have to rush and I am not prepared before class starts, the students know this and sometimes take advantage of this, it also makes the class flow smoother when you are prepared.

you as instructor should be ready for any question from students so the best way to do it is to educate your self try to read more about the topic or watch more lectures online

Employer Grading

After attending Advisor Board meetings for many years, I have developed a teaching style based on employers feedback For instance, grading hard on computer data entry including spelling and numerical entries. A 30-point mistake. The grade remains a seventy. Technical skill error is a 50-point mistake. After the student and I go over the mistake, the grade is changed to an 80.

All of our assessments are created by a group of people that are experts in the subject matter. Therefore, they are designed for maximum effectiveness. The students are always assessed in a fair and complete manner.

Avoiding compassion fatigue

It is important to avoid getting emotionally overwhelmed by the challenges and struggles of the students.In these difficult economic times, many of my students come to me for emotional support and it is a challenge to maintain a balance between helping and getting over involved.

Senior students help

In my program, new students are joining the class with every new module, and my "old" students are very helpful in involving new students in " the wheel of learning".

Applying class demostrations allows the student to obtain vivid detail on how the method/procedure should be done. It allows the student to become more motivated and confident when they actually see the instructor's performance.

Compressed assessments!

Our curriculum is compressed to three weeks and therefore our formative assessments are almost daily. This does keep everyone moving forward with absolute knowledge of their standing in the course!

SAYING HELLO FOR THE FIRST TIME.

This module will help me stand tall and me a model for my students. made me understand the steps that i will be needed for my first day of class.

Wow this course is going to help me alot...I kinda know when,where and probley how to start and end a class. With alittle more training and more confedience I think I will be ok. I just need to find the right way to start off a class with.
