Information and training

Through  the training I just completed, I realize more than ever that the information that I give to prospective students, is the stepping stone to the beginning of who they are , or will be , professionally and personally.

This 4 module training seminar ED107 was important to me, because it is so easy just to teach  the course materials, and forget that our involvement with the students can have an everlasting impact on their "learning and retention."  I needed to be reminded that I have the responsibility to help my students enjoy learning and become excited about personal growth and development.  My attitude plays a significant role in the behavior of my students in the classroom, and beyond.  I have a very important calling, to help educate the next generation of "leaders and learners" within our society.  The information that I share and teach to my students, can either be just rote information, or it can be "applied in the real sense to help my students to become the thinkers of tomorrow," and have the ability to apply those ideas for the futuristic growth of our society.

I never thought that I was wasting so much time trying to accomodate in a To Do List, and thinking that I was going to achieve everything that I wrote down on the list the same day. Thanks to the Time Management class now I can do the same but prioritizing the shores. I tried and it is working for me, now I achieving more on my day and I feel that my department is now more productive because this "Little, Tiny detail call time management"

Thanks to the creator of this course.

I absolutely agree! As agents we have a tremendous responsibility to represent our instiutions as well as ourselves correctly. This course has really helped me to recognize that responsibility and take it very seriously.

I appriciate the suggestions made in the course ED 107, I have more fun teaching people I feel connected to and many of the suggestions have helped me to see past the scary sea of strangers into the faces of future collegues. As I relax in the classroom i find what I'm teaching becomes more dynamic and interesting.

When I first starting teaching less than 2 years ago, I was always focussed in on "lecturing".  What I have learned, and what this course has reinforced, is that you create a much better learning environment when you facilitate learning by asking questions (checks for understanding) and encouraging sharing and discussions.  It makes a lot of sense, and I think the students appreciate and enjoy it.

Thank you and great information !
