One thing I have learned is not to be discouraged by the "no's" A no is just getting me that much closer to my next yes. Everything isn't for everyone and that's just fine. The goal is to find what is the best fit for each individual because it increases the likelihood of their success. That is the ultimate goal, to help people change their lives for the better. I'm so excited to do this work!

Teachers must promote students' engagement in class, and the best practice I apply as a science professor for Anatomy & Physiology is incorporating some scientific practices, such as asking questions and encouraging students to develop answers with supportive evidence. I also, encourage students to develop an argument to trigger other students to come up with a discussion of their answers with evidence. This course was extremely comprehensive and great information for faculty to be aware of the regulations and standards need to be in compliance with these regulations. We love our schools and want to "right" by our students!!

Expanding Guardian Labs into a phlebotomy training school sounds like an exciting venture! With 13 years of experience under my belt, I undoubtedly have a wealth of knowledge to impart to aspiring phlebotomists. Here are some steps I use to  transition into this new endeavor:

1. Curriculum Development: Craft a comprehensive curriculum that covers all aspects of phlebotomy, including anatomy and physiology, venipuncture techniques, safety protocols, and patient care. Incorporate hands-on training sessions to ensure students gain practical experience.

Loved learning a little more about AOS degrees, we offer them but more often I enroll for diploma. It was nice to hear some more detailed info regarding AOS. 

Take your time going through the quiz, and take lots of notes. 

This is a big part of the job as the letters of Registration and Approval ensure quality programs. There is a LOT of minutia and details involved.  I would NOT want to do this job alone. An Assistant to verify the work is a requirement.

As I reflect on the training that was provided, my best practice would be to utilize the keys to success.

1. Fully engage with students

2. Follow procedure and policies

3. Provide clear and informative about programming, expectation of graduation and successes of graduates that have completed the program.

This course was excellent in helping me see where our organization is right on track in regard to compliance and also offered information that I can use to improve our advertising, such as online advertising in appropriate channels such as 'education'. I'm grateful to have been able to complete this course and I look forward to learning more in additional courses offered.
