It is very important to have a clear understanding of all the concepts that help us perform better when advising students.
I have the learned through this first module the importance of understanding and knowing the terms and definitions of admissions. It is also important to maintain a resource notebook for my reference during this course.
It is important to know the Florida State Department of Education in order to offer the educational offering of the institution in accordance with fair consumption rules and it is also important to know the details of the offering itself because students need to know complete information about the courses or programs they will enroll in and the relationship they will establish with the educational institution in fair terms and within the current rules.
I have learned the various resources and techniques that help us guide the student in his/her journey into post secondary education.
What I have learned from this course is the ability to provide students with clear and updated information regarding the institution and the admissions resources available.

I have learned various definitions that will be resourceful when providing services to students. I also learned about rules, regulations, important enrollment documents, standards that the institution must meet, and steps and processes of the admission of a student to a post-secondary institution.
So far, I've learned from this module the importance of the accreditation process, the legal weight of the enrollment agreement, i also learned that you cannot admit new students until the accreditation is fully approved, that students must be notified when policy and accreditation changes and that knowing the marketing helps see what is the prospect seeing and getting to know about the institution. I could use this information to inform students on how the enrollment agreement works and motivate them to enroll by showing the accreditations the university offers.

I've learned in an integral way the purpose of the training and how it brings a holistic understanding of the admissions process and what it entails for the university/seminar and the prospects/students.
Being able to provide students with accurate and clear information in regard to my institution.
I’ve learned that this course is unique and very important for have the best information with all the latest admissions policies and procedures to date.
Admissions staff training and being up to date with admissions related terminology are not just important to complying with rules and regulations, but rather extremely crucial.
Staff training is important because it strengthens both the organization and the individuals who work in it.
Admissions training is necessary before engaging with any interested applicants
I find this module interesting, and there's much more to learn to become a competitive institution in the face of the challenges we face from other educational institutions.
This module has helped me understand the terminology used within the Florida Rules and Statutes, as well as the function of institutional catalogs, thus providing a better overview of what constitutes an institution—its history, programs, enrollment, fees, rules, regulations, and services.
It also highlights the importance of marketing within organizations for attracting more students.
Completing the FCIE and institution training is a must before starting any contact or interaction with prospective students
