The course framework is the guide in creating modules. Audience analysis is also vital in the creation of the module. Another important consideration is the creation of learning objectives. This will help students navigate the modules. Third consideration is module consistency, not just in face value, as well as the verbal and non verbal cues.
Creating a module is very important. This allows organization of course content, which would of course, benefit the students. Modules can be divided into weeks, one can also divide it by course content. Learning tools like videos, webpages, articles and other links can be put in the module to further help learning. Using modules often go hand in hand with a given LMS of the institution. Whatever form, module creation is a cyclical process of improving instruction.
Creating and testing a module requires looking into important details, like the font size and style which affects readability, content enhanced with multimodal learning materials, as well as consistency in length across all modules. Language used should be consistent, clear and concise. Scaffolding is very important as it provides sufficient support to promote learning.
Creating a content database can be helpful as it can compile all learning tools in one storage. It will be always easily accessible, and can be shared to other instructors as well.
Overall, module writing is an organized process, and there are concrete and time tested principles in ensuring that what we create can benefit students.

I have created modules before, but these were printed. I believe that the content of this current module can guide me in creating one that is suited to the new normal.

I learned how to prepare thoroughly before authoring contents for online learning. The most important take home point for me is on developing the course framework which serves a the roadmap.

What I found interesting is the warning about excessive use of video content being problematic.

The module is designed with depth and there were many new things which I learnt, specially the consistency component and the database component was much expalnatory

Learning instructional materials is critical for effective lesson delivery. The course-module template must be created and tested in order for future course modules to be developed and consistent. The modules are tested to assure their efficiency and effectiveness. Maintaining a database of learning objects saves time since the course developer can easily identify, categorize, locate, and upload needed components.

Using a consistent format will help the students to know what to expect and where to find the material they need. It also makes things easier for us to reuse the materials.

The most important thing I've learned is how important it is to engage in accessing all the content.

I learned about organization, creation of modules and maintain consistency, also the importance of scaffolding in the performance of students.

Similar to the above comments it reiterated the importance of consistency in every part of the course. Also reinforced that content should be relevant, well paced and add to the understanding of objectives.

It's important to have courses consistent in how they are set up, with clear learning objectives so students don't get frustrated trying to navigate around to figure out where to go next to complete assignments and assessments and learn the content they need to do that successfully.

Course consistency and the importance of the ongoing process of testing and revising.

I found it quite interesting to have a better framework for consistency. Sometimes I feel like I want to have more freedom to design things differently, but it makes sense from the student perspective to keep things uniform, so that they do not have to deal with changing things. This also limits their questions and helps save me time.

I've learned to recognize the importance of consistency and utilizing digestible learning objects to help with the learning process.

I liked the idea of chunking - using conjoined course objects to facilitate grasp of related concepts in a course.

Consistency is key to retention and easy of use.

It is essential to keep modules consistent and clear. The learning process can be disrupted by confusion and inconsistent pacing.

I've learned that our teaching software doesn't allow this concept to be implemented.

The most important thing I learned was to be consistent in use of language. I plan on making sure I use linear verbiage and adjectives to stay consistent.

I learned that being consistent helps students with their understandings and flow of the materials and can reduce student anxiety.

I learned about being consistent with the development of modules so students can better find tasks and complete them online.
