Investigations and Disciplinary Procedures - The institution is responsible to conduct an investigation even if no criminal charges are filed. The Title IX investigation is totally separate from any (if any) criminal or civil cases that may be happening concurrently. The rules are different. Each party must be treated fairly and equally, if one is allowed an attorney present, the other must also be allowed an attorney, the same with witnesses.
