Investigations and Disciplinary Procedures - The institution is responsible to conduct an investigation even if no criminal charges are filed. The Title IX investigation is totally separate from any (if any) criminal or civil cases that may be happening concurrently. The rules are different. Each party must be treated fairly and equally, if one is allowed an attorney present, the other must also be allowed an attorney, the same with witnesses. The parties should not be allowed to question or cross-examine each other directly. What have you learned from this module and how do you intend to apply it? 
The role and functions of the Title IX Coordinator: assist in Training, develop method to Survey campus climate, Evaluate requests for confidentiality, coordinate Recordkeeping, recommend increased Security Measures, review effectiveness of the institution's efforts and policies. The Coordinator must be Visible and Authoritative. As well as Reporting Requirements, Who should report and What, Confidentiality of Victim, Role and Responsibilities of Responsible Employees. What have you learned from this module and how do you intend to apply it? 
I learned about Title IX, VAWA and the Clery Act. An institution's responsibility toward students and employees regarding discrimination regarding gender, sexual harassment, reporting incidents, and the role of Title IX Coordinator. I will be more aware of all the levels of incidents that are included and need to be reported.
