This module taught me that building good relationships with people really comes down to how we communicate with them. It’s not just about what we say, but also about how we listen, respond, and make people feel heard and respected. I learned that things like active listening, empathy, understanding different communication styles, and paying attention to body language can make a big difference in how we connect with others and avoid misunderstandings.
I plan to use what I learned in my everyday communication, especially at work. I want to make more of an effort to listen before responding, ask questions when I’m not sure about something, and try to understand where other people are coming from instead of making assumptions. I also want to be more aware of my tone and how I react when I’m frustrated or dealing with a difficult situation. I think using these skills will help me build better relationships, work better with others, and communicate more effectively with my coworkers and leadership.
