In this module, I learned about the "Guide on the Side" teaching approach, which emphasizes the instructor’s role as a facilitator of learning rather than the primary source of information. This method encourages students to become active participants in the learning process by exploring ideas, applying concepts, and working through problems independently.

As an online mathematics instructor, I plan to incorporate this approach by providing students with the tools, resources, and support they need while encouraging them to take ownership of their learning. By guiding students through the problem-solving process rather than simply providing answers, I can help them build confidence, strengthen their critical thinking skills, and become more independent learners. This approach fosters a more engaging, interactive, and student-centered learning environment.
