I have had to dismiss a disruptive student from class once in 3 years. Looking back I wished I would have talked to her a little bit more to gain her trust. However, even though I made my class rules and set expectations on the first day she insisted on behaving as if she was at home. There was no accountability on her behalf and I kept my wors on my rules includung deadlines. The young lady just refused to grow up and stated that the real world was not like we sated it was. She believed that Medical Assistants could pretty much do anything they wanted like eat in clinic, be on phone, have poor soft skills because her mom worked in the field. According to the student her mom would tell her that every bad behaviour her daughter was displaying was acceptable in the medical field. Needless to say she was dismissed from school.
