Planning and preparation , is the key to successful teaching. I would incorporate a syllabus as a foundation to the course i will teach.
Having a syllabus would better engage the students to what they are learning and what to expect, especially the go getter types of students that would like to read ahead, and grasp some crucial content that will better help them focus on what they are learning, by having that pre-knowledge, would aid in better study habits and retention of the content.
