My personal experience with teaching has come from a more informal background doing workshops and teaching disciplines where students are seated on the floor in a circle. Coming into a formal space considered "institutional learning" has provided new awareness on the presentation of self as an instructor. Honestly, it is not that different even though the environments are vastly different. Having clear boundaries along with a warm rapport with students can create a safe atmosphere for learning to take place. Being very much involved in the presentation can pique interest in the subject being delivered. All of the examples provided in this lesson made me realize that these tips are ways to reduce distractions and interference to learning.
