Retention
Retention is very vital in the existence of a successful student body and school accreditation.
Faculty plays an important role in cultivating a climate that is conductive to learning and motivating their students to take ownership of their academic achievement. Adult learners need to be motivated just as all other students.
They must be allowed to incorporate their life expereinces into their learning environment and must be treated with respect and dignity in order for them to be successful in completing their educational goals.

I agree. Creating an atmosphere that is inviting drives a student to learn. If the faculty and staff is not approachable a student may feel defeated which beats his or her self-esteem and respect for those in the institution.
Instructors are not initially aware of students paradigm. Becoming aware of individual student environment allows the needs of individual student to be a addressed. The instructor needs to be made aware of the whole picture needs in order to address the high risk students needs.
I agree. If all are not approachable, students will feel that as a negative and everything, respect, goals, etc will be lost.
