It was good to affirm my belief that feedback is essential and in the course I learned that is really foundational to growth and improvement.  I thought the tips were very helpful and the articles and videos had good additional information. 

I plan to use the information I learned to expand on my interactions with my peers and supervisors moving forward.

I have learned that even if people don't take feedback well, they do in fact want it. 

I learned that being open to receiving and giving feedback is important when moving towards making improvments.

I myself am the type of employee who shrugs off good feedback due to feeling inadequate of praise. Reading the course opened my mind to the idea that we are all deserving of feedback, whether it be good or bad, so I should embrace the feedback and give my thoughts / feelings on it as well to show I am grateful for the person's feedback on me / my performance. 

Comment on Angela Frimpong's post:  I agree, there must sufficient information and relevant evidence to adequately deliver feedbaack. Many times it may need to be revisited and reassessed.

Positive verses constructive feedback are two different needs in overall feedback.  Whene is written verses verbal feedback appropriate - very helpful slide.

Feedback should be tailored to the recipient to receive a better outcome.

We probably need to create an environment in our workplace, where everyone should not hesitate to receive and give feedback.

learning the four personality styles can help when giving feedback. Important to receive feedback.

Feedback is vital to the improve operational and work setting goals. A good way to increase team building and rapport with all members of an organization. 

Taking this course helped me to understand the importance of advance planning when giving and receiving feedback.  I also learned tips on how to stay open during a feedback session, which will help me move forward by learning, growing and changing in a positive direction.

Feedback should be given in a safe enviorment and should never be about judging others.

 

Feedback is great way to learn if you are open to it.  You have to let your defenses down, open up your mind to new ideas and make sure your body language says I want to learn

I have learned there is a process to giving feedback.
