"Color Blind" can cause a diverse class to diconnect from the learning objective. Bringing together a valued common cultural denominatior brings the learning to an optimum level.

The importance of culture and race and not being "color-blind". 

 

Intercultural communication looks at each student in entirety, and their individual experiences are included in the curriculum. The key is to get to know and include every student.
