This module taught me that inquiry-based instruction and the workplace model of learning help students become active participants in their education rather than passive learners. I learned that students gain a deeper understanding when they ask questions, investigate problems, think critically, and apply their knowledge to real-world situations. The workplace model emphasizes hands-on learning, teamwork, problem-solving, and the development of skills that are directly related to future careers.

I will use this approach by creating activities that encourage students to explore answers, solve healthcare-related scenarios, participate in simulations, and practice real-world skills. In my Health Science classes, I will incorporate… >>>

This module taught me the importance of meeting the needs of all students by understanding and implementing accommodations and modifications outlined in IEPs and 504 Plans. I learned that accommodations help students access the curriculum without changing learning expectations, while modifications adjust the learning objectives to meet a student's individual needs.

I will apply this knowledge by reviewing student IEPs and 504 Plans, providing appropriate accommodations and modifications, and creating an inclusive classroom where all students have the opportunity to succeed. By adapting instruction, assessments, and learning activities based on individual needs, I can help every student achieve their highest… >>>

This module taught me that curriculum planning is essential for creating organized, effective instruction that aligns learning objectives, classroom activities, assessments, and industry standards. I learned that careful planning helps ensure students develop the knowledge and skills they need while keeping instruction focused on program outcomes and workforce expectations.

I will apply this knowledge by planning lessons with the end goals in mind, aligning activities and assessments to learning objectives, and organizing instruction so that students can progressively build and demonstrate competency in health science skills and concepts.

This module taught me the difference between formative assessments (assessment for learning) and summative assessments (assessment of learning), and how both are important for measuring student progress and achievement. I learned that formative assessments provide ongoing feedback during instruction, while summative assessments evaluate whether students have mastered the required competencies at the end of a unit or course.

I will apply this knowledge by using quizzes, skill checks, observations, and classroom activities to monitor student progress and provide feedback throughout the learning process. For competency-based learning, I will use performance assessments, skills demonstrations, and certification-aligned evaluations to ensure students can… >>>

This module taught me the importance of instructional alignment, ensuring that learning objectives, lessons, activities, and assessments all work together to support student learning. I learned that when instruction is aligned, students have a clearer understanding of expectations and are more likely to achieve the desired outcomes.

I will apply this knowledge by planning lessons with clear objectives, using activities that support those objectives, and creating assessments that accurately measure student learning. This will help ensure my students gain both the academic and technical skills needed for success in their future careers.

This module taught me that creating a positive learning environment starts with building strong relationships with students and earning their respect through fairness, consistency, and professionalism. I learned that when students feel valued, supported, and engaged, they are more likely to participate and succeed. I will apply this knowledge by developing positive relationships, maintaining clear expectations, treating students with respect, and creating a classroom culture where all students feel safe and motivated to learn.

This module taught me that actively engaging students in the learning process increases motivation, participation, and knowledge retention. I learned that many Gen Z students respond best to interactive learning experiences, including videos, demonstrations, technology, and hands-on activities rather than relying solely on lectures and textbooks. I will apply this knowledge by incorporating YouTube videos, real-world examples, group activities, and skills-based learning to keep students engaged and help them connect classroom content to future careers.

This module taught me the importance of maintaining an organized and safe classroom and laboratory environment. I will apply this knowledge by establishing clear procedures, enforcing safety practices, staying organized, and relying on a professional mentor for guidance and support as I continue to grow as an educator.

This module taught me that being a professional educator requires continuous learning, ethical behavior, and a commitment to student success. I will apply these principles by maintaining high standards, staying current in my field, and helping students connect their education to future career opportunities.
