This module taught me that inquiry-based instruction and the workplace model of learning help students become active participants in their education rather than passive learners. I learned that students gain a deeper understanding when they ask questions, investigate problems, think critically, and apply their knowledge to real-world situations. The workplace model emphasizes hands-on learning, teamwork, problem-solving, and the development of skills that are directly related to future careers.
I will use this approach by creating activities that encourage students to explore answers, solve healthcare-related scenarios, participate in simulations, and practice real-world skills. In my Health Science classes, I will incorporate case studies, role-playing, demonstrations, and hands-on lab experiences that allow students to apply what they have learned while developing the critical thinking and employability skills needed in the healthcare workforce.
