Universal Design for Learning (UDL) was created to appeal to most, if not all, learners.  Although we should realize that a one-size-fits-all model does not work in education, the goal should be to remove as many barriers as possible.  Even if UDL does not provide the ability to eliminate all barriers, the methods utilized through UDL can help to significantly reduce barriers, thus increasing the effectiveness of what is taught in the classroom...and what the students retain in what they have learned

I intend to apply what I have learned by using technology responsibly in my education and everyday life. I will practice critical thinking when researching information online, compare different sources, and use digital tools to improve my learning and communication skills.

From this topic, I learned that literacy involves more than just reading and writing. In today's world, newer literacy skills include understanding visual information, using technology effectively, communicating with others, and connecting information from different sources.

That new literacy goes beyond our traditional literacy ways of teaching

I will definitely be applying the anonymous questions on learning difficulties to my students; I reckon this might help in addressing particularly difficult subjects for my students before it becomes a problem.

Comment on Daniel Salzer's post: This, absolutely.   Knowing who you are as a person and how this can impact teaching was my main take-away from this section.

A strong way to design the slides is to make them visual and interactive:

Include graphs, charts, and relevant images to explain key concepts.
Add short video clips that demonstrate or reinforce the topic.
After the video, ask students to answer 2–3 brief written questions about what they observed or learned.
Use the questions to encourage critical thinking and application, rather than simple recall.
Connect the visual materials and video to real-world or clinical examples whenever possible.

This module taught me that effective teaching starts with preparation, organization, and clear expectations. Creating a welcoming classroom and showing enthusiasm can help students feel comfortable and engaged. I also learned the value of using real-world examples and career connections to make learning meaningful. I will apply these ideas by preparing in advance, maintaining structure, and motivating students through practical examples.

It is good to have a lesson plan when teaching.

I learned the importance of assessment. Formal and informal assessment are important to gauging the efficacy of you lesson plan.
