Activity

A strong way to design the slides is to make them visual and interactive:

Include graphs, charts, and relevant images to explain key concepts.
Add short video clips that demonstrate or reinforce the topic.
After the video, ask students to answer 2–3 brief written questions about what they observed or learned.
Use the questions to encourage critical thinking and application, rather than simple recall.
Connect the visual materials and video to real-world or clinical examples whenever possible.

This module taught me that effective teaching starts with preparation, organization, and clear expectations. Creating a welcoming classroom and showing enthusiasm can help students feel comfortable and engaged. I also learned the value of using real-world examples and career connections to make learning meaningful. I will apply these ideas by preparing in advance, maintaining structure, and motivating students through practical examples.

Planning and following the plan.

When dealing with a challenging student, I think it is important for instructors to first reflect on their own teaching and consider what might be contributing to the situation. Instead of immediately blaming the student, we can try different teaching strategies, communicate expectations clearly, and talk with the student to better understand their concerns. Being patient, approachable, and flexible can help build trust and create a more positive learning environment for everyone.

I support inattentive students by using clear, concise instructions, breaking material into manageable segments, and incorporating brief opportunities for active engagement. I also check for understanding, provide individualized guidance, and encourage effective study strategies to help students remain focused and engaged in learning.

Fostering positive rapport with students and encouraging them to seek assistance when needed. Breaking complex material into manageable segments to facilitate comprehension and promoting the use of spaced study techniques to support retention and long-term learning.
