Marketing Plans

Typically the advertising and marketing plans are designed by your Marketing Department or Admissions Director. Ideally you will be informed about the marketing plan. If not, ask for the plan and samples of the marketing efforts. Prospective students will initially learn about your institution based on the ads and promotions they see.

Meetings with the coworkers

Most institutions have scheduled meetings for all faculty and staff. If the institution is accredited a certain number of meetings may be required. It is important that you know when these meetings will be held so that you can schedule to participate. Ideally an agenda of topics to be discussed will be issued in advance of each meeting.

As technology goes beyond texting, how can we utilize it to it's fullest potential?

Programs designed for re-entering adults into a high-tech workforce

Many people who haven't grown up with social media are sometimes hesitant to enroll in school because they are concerned about social media and how it will be utilized as an educational tool.

Online or in person

Is it more effective to have a prospect look at site instead of a visit the campus for question about the schools history?

Importance of paperwork

Its important to be organized and well-prpared, what are some tips and tricks that should used to be the best at admissions?

INTEGRITY in Admissions???

I find this an issue in most schools I have worked in and I understand we all have goals but we are not commissioned. I still don't get why reps feel the need to steal enrollments and referrals???

Admissions Training

Just wondering if there is formal admissions training at other schools or were you trained in house by another admissions rep?

Tranferability of credits

Very important ! At least 25 percent of the credits or hours required for completion of a program must be earned through instruction taken at the institution awarding the credential.

Transcripts

Are the transcripts part of the enrollment agreement?

Scholarships

What forms would I need to be able to offer a scholarship. I would love to help young under privileged students at my institution. I was lucky to be able to take the Cosmetology course at such a young age and it has developed into a great career. Erica Drew - The Institution of Advanced Styles

The Resource Notebook

I found it handy. As I sit down with a prospect student, I go back to double check any question before I answer it.

Social Media

Social media is a great tool for marketing and referrals. I think that reps have to be careful when becoming "Facebook" friends with their students. Personal accounts should not be used for school issues.

Advertising Rules & Social Media

I'm very happy to hear that there are rules in advertising. imagine if advertising for schools was treated like advertising on infomercials with all sorts of miracle claims! It's important to attract the right students with accurate and realistic information. Social Media is a great tool for spreading the word about what student are doing and what graduate success stories are out there.

Compliance training

Compliance training is so important. Many folks join the admissions work force without any prior experience and they use "sales" tactics that they may be used to in other industries. Lots of good career schools get a bad reputation because of the bad ones that are portrayed in the news. Being compliant is the right thing to do. We take students' lives into our hands everyday.

screening/interviewing prior to enrollment

I think it is very necessary to screen/interview student's prior to enrollment this will help with the drop percentage.
