Teaching to a test....Why wouldn't you?

I am fond of the practice of connecting student feedback, learning objectives, and class content. I think we should always teach to a test. As long as the test is what we want the students to know. The formative and summative assessments should match the learning objectives, and the learning objectives are what we are teaching to. So the connection is pretty clear.

I agree with your comments. With teaching repetition is key. This is why I feel the learning objectives, information provided to students as well as all the reading materials and exercises should be used to reinforce the knowledged required to score great on tests.
