Activity

I am fond of the practice of connecting student feedback, learning objectives, and class content. I think we should always teach to a test. As long as the test is what we want the students to know. The formative and summative assessments should match the learning objectives, and the learning objectives are what we are teaching to. So the connection is pretty clear.

From my experience of teaching online and F2F I am finding I am utilizing more online resources F2F and using the online piece as enrichment to what is discussed F2F. True Hybrid class.

Good class and good information to help manage time for online instructors...

Great Comment. I agree and believe whole heartibly that modeling begins with the instructor!

I am believeing more and more that the better we communicate with students the better their performance in online environments are. I think this class did a nice job presenting information to help me and others achieve this.

Sometimes I found it difficult to get all students engaged in group projects. When I monitor there discussion history and try interventions I have not been super successful. Any suggestions. I try direct communication and email, but have mixed responses.

I like to use the live chats as a way to establish verbal communication standards as well as remind and reinforce my presence to help them in anyway possible.
When Emailing I try to be consistent with the language I use. I want to model the behavior I want in the emails. this includes subject line, content, and superlatives.
