Class Management Strategies

I am a Nursing Simulation Instructor. What I have learned from this ED104 course reinforces what I have been doing as a simulation facilitator. For one, pre- briefing activities like reading materials, visual teachings and review exercises set the tone and direction of what the students can expect with me and our classes. I brief them too on our sim activities based on their lecture syllabus and I discuss with them what is expected when they simulate, utilizing the QSEN core competencies for evaluation. I also do in- scenario in- coaching but with variable intensities based on the Simulation Class Level (from Fundamentals of Nursing to Advanced Care Nursing). And, finally, we conduct the very important Debriefing Process where students' learning are maximized through reflective evaluation of their knowledge manifested, skills conducted and social behaviors manifested. The other so many things I have learned from this course I shall include and implement these right away for the benefit of the students! This is a wonderful and exciting course that I had just gotten!
