Influencing Student Motivation

Surprise! motivation can be difficult task in adult learners due to so many other demands on their time.  An encouraging enthusiastice attitude on the Instructors part is paramount! I like to include a relevant inspirational quote at the beginning of class and at the end of the term pass out a compilation of quotes for the student's binders.

A professional educator is effective in all they do and is responsible for the creation of an interactive learning environment. To do this, an educator should understand the requirements needed to satisfy the goals and objectives of their curriculums as well as the content. As much as the work of an educator is to disseminate the required information to the students, they also ensure that all the expectations of these students are met and if possible exceeded

I think communication and availability is also a key in keeping them motivated. My students have access to me 24/7 during a class term. I also like to send them an email on Fridays to remind them about due homeworks and quizzes for the next week.
