My takeaways...

I am not teaching an online class, nor do I anticipate teaching one in the near future.  I teach high school geometry and like many other teachers, have been thrown into the world of Remote Learning due to COVID-19.  My job and expectations for it changed overnight.  I did get some good advice and tips while taking this class.  One of the big take aways is that I need to maintain relationships with my students.  I had the advantage of getting to know my students in person before the pandemic swept the world.  It is now, more than ever important to keep those relationships going.  That was an important take away for me.  I also learned about synchronous and asynchronous learning.  These things will need to be kept in mind.  My high school students have a lot going on while they are at home and I need to make sure that I am respecting that.
