Time management is key.  I like the idea of setting aside a day and time to check in grades instead of doing it all the time.  I also like the Stop-Start-Continue evaluation.

Standards of communication are important.  Avoid using all caps as it is considered yelling.  All lowercase is considered mumbling.

Time management is important.  Separating personal things from work things is also important.  You don't have to be available 24/7 just because the classs is available during that time.

Time management skills are key when facilitating an online course.  Often times, online instructors have other responsibilities as well.  I like the idea of turning off the chime for emails to keep from getting distracted.

Closing the loop is critical for online courses.  Because there are multiple stakeholders, there should be multiple sources and multiple methods of evaluation.  The course should be revised based on this input and not just one source or method.

Formative assessment should happen throughout the lesson.  Meaningful feedback is important for learners.

A good syllabus is important for an online course.  Scaffolding of knowledge is also important.

Consistency is key during the course.  Also, the chunking of materials may be beneficial.

I am not teaching an online class, nor do I anticipate teaching one in the near future.  I teach high school geometry and like many other teachers, have been thrown into the world of Remote Learning due to COVID-19.  My job and expectations for it changed overnight.  I did get some good advice and tips while taking this class.  One of the big take aways is that I need to maintain relationships with my students.  I had the advantage of getting to know my students in person before the pandemic swept the world.  It is now, more than ever important… >>>

Students that are not engaged in an online course need to be addressed.  Particularly their reasons why.
