Students

We are the portal to help our students.  Most have no idea what they want. It is up to us to lead them in their way. 

I agree! It is important to ask the discovery questions and find out the level of interest, motivation and commitment that this person has to changing their life and helping them achieve that!

It is also very important when "leading" them that we do not push our own views as to what "we" think is best for them. Part of being compliant is being a good listener. In order to properly "lead" we need to be attentive, observant and HONEST!

I agree, there are some who have no idea what direction to go in. Asking plenty of questions and getting insight on their talents, past work history and interest will help us to guide potential students in a positive direction. We are given the tools through training, but I think generally caring about your job helps you to build relationships and attain more personal information.
